Make the most of your stay in East Algarve
The Eastern Algarve runs roughly from Faro to the last place before you enter Spain: Vila Real de San Antonio. This part of the Algarve has mostly dunes with golden sandy beaches and a mudflat area with islands. It is home to the Ria Formosa nature park and charming villages far from mass tourism. Good roads and a train connect the coastal towns so that Faro, Olhao and Tavira, among others, are easily accessible.
